Conceiving a child is the  feeling of being a complete woman. It is a rare instance if a woman never wishes for a child. Many were blessed some are not. It can be due to some disorder in the uterus like endometriosis, cervical disease, pelvic adhesions, uninfertility, some genetic  uterine disease and others. Perhaps beyond many tries of becoming pregnant , the woman failed to conceive.  Today we already have the IVF – it is defined as In  Vitro Fertilization .

IVF in layman’s explanation is the process of putting the man’s sperm  to his wife ‘s egg in a laboratory that fertilize to produce an embryo. This is an alternative of a  couple who cannot conceive through the conventional process. The embryo are put back  into the  female uterus surgically after 5 days the most of after the incubation.

The process requires a bit hard preparation for both partner. The doctor will monitor and add stimulants to develop healthy eggs in the ovaries. Timing for the time to collect mature eggs , retrieval will be done through surgery, then put them in the laboratory with the partner’s sperm. By combining the cells fertilization can take place and an embryo grow,  when successful the embryo now transfer back to the uterus.

During the time of the retrieval the  female is given  estrogen and progesterone to prepare the uterus  in handling the embryo for continued development.

The ivf success rates is dependent on  the patient treatment approaches that she receive from her doctor. A daily visit to the doctor for the monitoring is necessary. Frequent ultrasound is administer to determine the embryo condition in the womb. Similarly the natural pregnancy schedule also followed he 38 weeks of conception before  giving birth. An extra attention shall be the focus during the conception to prevent miscarriage or any near abortion due to accident.

The IVF  commonly combine the partner sperm and egg cell, in the case of infertility there are donors of sperm cell that can be use to match the eggs. If the couple agreed.

Successful pregnancy is coupled with risk. The ovaries can become swollen, though rare condition has been reported, nausea, vomiting and a bloated feeling often occurs. Some severe cases are abdominal pain, shortness of breath, urine discoloration  and weight gain.

There is also a chance of multiple birth. When  more than one is fertilized during the process. But the premature delivery may also occur.

When transferring  matured eggs to the laboratory piece it should be not more than four because it can result to a complications.  Multiple pregnancy can make the woman suffer and can be fatal to some of the babies.

When you definitely wanted the IVF make  sure that you have chosen the best doctor and laboratory where it shall be processed. All is measured with cost and it shall be the responsibility of both partner  take the risk.
